Agile consulting dead, that's an interesting thought. Which I may agree with.
The agile values are strong but some principles don't help much with today's challenge:
- "Deliver working software frequently, from a
couple of weeks to a couple of months, with a
preference to the shorter timescale." - Working software means nothing, it's about value
- "Business people and developers must work
together daily throughout the project." - This one reflects an agency mindset. I'd say we need to work close to customers and business to uncover worth value drivers
- "Working software is the primary measure of progress." - Shall I say anything about this?
I connect very much with the values but don't consider following the principles. A couple of years ago, I challenged that and crafted a version focused on our current challenges: https://agileproductmanifesto.com/
