For me, in the end of the day is about choices. I encourage Product Managers to listen to developers because they know the tech aspects of the product better than anyone else.

I used the word "want" intentionally because developers often avoid explaining the reasons why fixing something is required. I was a developer and disliked talking about it. But as I said, it's a two way avenue. It's a team and everyone should help one another.
