I can feel your pain.

During the last 10 years, I wore the Product Owner hat in 7 different scenarios. Unfortunately, I've lived all the problems you mentioned all over again. I often had a feeling of, "being there, done that, got the T-Shirt".

The root cause for me is a lack of understanding what is to be agile. Most executives are unable to renounce their power, and therefore, agile becomes a process instead of a framework. And we, the product people, become inevitably frustrated.

I've found my way of dealing with that, most times I am a bit of a rebel, I do what I have to do, even when that means break rules and pissing people of. Results talk better than words. That's what worked for me.
