I see your point but I perceive waterfall differently.

I don't see waterfall as consistent in vision and execution, on the contrary, I perceive as a threat for the vision. It's slow to create valuable learnings and the focus is on execution instead of incrementally understand the market and adapt quickly.

For me, the new role of leadership is to foster a value-driven mindset and encourage people to think like achiever instead of executors. After that, frameworks will do just fine.
