As everyone else, I don't live in the ideal world because it doesn't exist. Yet, I've got plenty of experience with Scrum helping teams create value sooner. I truly recommend working on the mindset first, then implementing a framework.

I wouldn't recommend a solution in between. My view is simple, to get where most people don't get, one must do what most people don't do.

Succeeding with Scrum is possible. It's a matter of embracing the unknown or running away from it.
