I connect to some aspects. For example, Sprints are continuous and unstoppable in Scrum. Meanwhile, ShapeUp has a cool down phase after each cycle. This is something Scrum doesn't have.
The trick is that Scrum leaves a lot of room for interpretation. I've seen different sides of the same coin. For example, a full cross-functional team using Sprints both for discovery and delivery, the result was outstanding. Yet, that was the exception. It's hard to get to this, support and empowerment are a must.
My take own it. Our job is to create value, and we should focus on processes but step back and reflect if our mindset contributes to learning and adapting or to planning and executing. The first parts helps us innovating and second to create more or less the same. I prefer learning and adapting.
