The immutable aspect of Scrum is nonsense to me. I simply ignore it. I'm not a purist.
I believe in the agile mindset, I help teams start with principles and figure out how to solve problems they have, instead of implementing practices to follow frameworks.
Whenever I hear: "How do I do that with Scrum?" I flip. What about removing "With Scrum?" and figuring it out.
I believe that Scrum creates an easy starting point, but it requires good coaching on leadership. Then, it's natural to evolve.
What I disagree is claiming that Scrum failed the industry. What about leaders failing to adapt the agile mindset? The old command & control is still highly present :)
