You brought an insteresting thought but I still see differently.

I think it's not about organizing the work around software development, but to focus on delivering value as fast as possible. Companies that fail to understand how to maximize value will fail.

Companies do have to reinvent themselves. Technology is not a support area to the business anymore; it's the business itself. Look at Kodak, they were disrupted by the digital photo because they focused on the product instead of generating value. Kodak had the digital picture solution, but they didn't want to disrupt themselves.

Scrum is not perfect, I am aware of that. But what scares me is the unwillingness from top management to renounce command and control. In my opinon, the world changed, those who cannot adapt will fail.
